What Should I Do On My First Trip to Las Vegas? A Short Guide, Tips, and Tricks

by Kyle Chapman

Your first trip to Las Vegas can be quite exciting There so much to do & see but where should you start? Where should you stay & what should you do?

Unless you are driving you will be flying into Las Vegas. Your first question might be whether or not you should rent car. I would suggest against this because much easier to get around the city using cabs. That unless you want to go to destination like Hoover Dam or Red Rock Canyon which kind far away & having car necessary.

Probably your biggest decision where are you going to stay. I have people asking me this question all the time & I always tell them depends. You might think this bad answer but s the perfect one because really depends on what type hotel you are looking for Las Vegas. There are such variety places range from super fancy something s middle the road & other places are less expensive. There are couple things to think about when making the right choice where to stay.

*If you want to stay some the fanciest hotels the country I would suggest staying at the Wynn hotel their sister property Encore or the Bellagio.

*There are some really fun places to stay if you are looking for party. I would suggest the Venetian Mandalay Bay Caesars Palace or Planet Hollywood.

*Maybe you want to stay somewhere little more relaxed & more middle-of-the-road. You should check out Paris Luxor MGM Grand or the Mirage.

*Maybe you want to save little cash. I would suggest checking out Treasure Island the Flamingo Excalibur Harrah s Ballys Imperial Palace or Circus Circus.

All the hotels have their good & points & their not so good points. You can get more information about each hotel at my website.

Just so you know most the hotels are within walking distance each other especially if you stay the middle the strip. If you are at let s say Mandalay Bay & you are going to show at the Wynn you really need to take cab though. It very easy to determine which casinos are within walking distance each other once you get there.

One question I get lot if the drinks are really free Las Vegas. The answer yes as long as you are gambling. If you have to actually buy drinks from bar they are very expensive often $15+ . So I tell everyone to find bars with video poker machines them & put $10 & start playing. The bartender will give you free drinks & take care you as long as you tip him. Normally $1 dollar per drink good enough tip. So even if you lose the money you put into the poker machine you are still saving money. Another little piece advice actually legal to take an open container outside Las Vegas. So don t worry about guzzling down your drink before you go outside.

What if you don t like gambling? Don t worry you can still have great time this town Las Vegas home to some the best shows the best restaurants pristine shopping & some the greatest nightlife there to offer.

My biggest suggestion for someone s first trip to Las Vegas to go experience as much as possible. Go to as many hotels as you can because they all have different atmosphere. Half the fun seeing all the different hotels & what they have to offer.

I would suggest you see show for your first trip. There huge variety including dancing musicals comedy & many more. You will be really happy when you get back you saw at least one show.

Everybody should go to at least one fancy restaurant. Some the most famous chefs & restaurants the world are here so you might as well check one out.

Add some shopping & maybe little gambling & you will have trip you will remember for years to come
