Should You Give Away Your Information Products When You Are Selling Information?

As someone who participates selling information I have encountered many people who ask for my products for free. How do I recommend you handle this? If they are friends & family you can make decision for yourself. If you are doing special promotion where you are giving your product away for free different situation. In this scenario I am referring to people you do not know contact you randomly & ask if you can give them your product at no cost.

This happens to me all the time almost on daily basis. Someone will email me & they will say something to the effect You will never know unless you ask so I am asking if you would be willing to give me free copy your product? What interesting I bet if I came to the people who ask me this & I asked them to give me stuff at their house for free they would balk. Or even better if I came to their job & asked for stuff on their job for free they would look at me like I am crazy. However they are still willing to ask me for my product for free. I tell them they have to buy to get full value from it.

Case point there are number ebooks I have on my computer I never read. Why the case? The reason why they were giving away free ebooks rather than selling information. If I would have spent $27 for them I would read them because I want the money I spent to be worth the sacrifice financially. However because they were free there no value attached to them so I normally do not read them. Since I do not have all the time the world to read free ebooks not high priority to make time.

This topic I can talk about all day & what funny I get these requests almost every day. There are even some people who have suggested I give them my product for free & if & when they make money they will pay me back. This course silly concept because they have nothing invested into the product. If they got the product for free there would be no need to implement the concepts so I would basically just give my products away for free without anything return. I have to earn living as well & the way I do by selling information I am passionate about. Also the fact the matter I have invested significant time & knowledge into the products I offer. The bottom line if people have to spend money & invest into an information product they will typically have much greater chance using the product & getting value out it.

Consider how I do business. There huge demand for people looking to make money online. They are looking for the exact steps they can take. They want to be held by the hand & walked through the process. This what I specialize & why I do well. I create step-by-step video tutorials show people how to get into profit mode quickly. If you do the same whatever market you decide to target you will have products high demand & will be very effective at selling information.
