Labor Day Fun

Around my house Labor Day just as big as the 4th July. It day for relaxing gathering with family & friends & parades. Let just hope no matter where you are the weather will be warm & sunny as also marks the end summer vacation & the beginning school.
You will need warm & sunny day order to enjoy your outdoor cook out or grilling. The food choices for your BBQ are endless & can be the ever popular hamburgers & hot dogs or you can throw some chicken or pork chops into the mix. However the one thing must be included each year corn on the cob. My family enjoys grilling the corn & prefers to when I boil on the stove top.
There are also many side dishes I anticipate each year & for me they must all be home made. Pasta salad macaroni salad & potato salads are just few. AS for desserts anything will allow me to pile on the Cool Whip fine. Jello strawberry shortcake pudding these are all excellent choices for me
When I hear Labor Day I think outdoors. Whether you decide to spend the day your backyard at the shore or sailing the sun where you should be. It important however you make sure your have the sunblock If you enjoy swimming might be fun to pack picnic lunch & spend the day swimming by the lake.
My favorite part our families Labor Day celebration the annual volleyball game. Wherever we are celebrating we set net up the yard & split up into teams. Everyone plays form youngest to the oldest & everyone has blast. Sometimes the games go on for so long no one even remember what the score is.
No matter what your plans are for this Labor Day just be sure to stay safe & have fun. If you drink do so responsibly & if you have children & are spending the day near water whether beach or pool make sure they know about water safety. Happy Labor Day Everyone
