Kenny Chesney has left little doubt after almost two decades he s here to stay as country music superstar. Even though his debut album from Capricorn Records In My Wildest Dreams was released to little fanfare Kenny had some success form albums & has gone on to release twelve more albums to wild success.
The success Kenny s music remarkable. Of the first thirteen albums he released eleven were certified gold or higher by the RIAA. His debut may not have sold record numbers on Capricorn Records but the independent label s release spurred two singles The Tin Man & Whatever It Takes garnered enough success to prove Kenny had star potential. Capricorn Records decided to discontinue publishing country music later year but Kenny was destined for bigger things.
Kenny Chesney s amazing career includes four consecutive AMC Entertainer the year awards sic CMA awards & more than thirty top ten country music hits.
Born Knoxville Tennesse 1968 Kenny Chesney s youth the heart country music was fueled by an early Christmas gift guitar which he taught himself to play. After joining bluegrass club while attending East Tennessee State University he recorded record on his own 1989 which he used to sell at gigs to help pay for his dream. Kenny graduated from East Tennessee State with degree marketing & with dream his back pocket career singing country music.
Kenny Chesney s hometown Knoxville Tennessee just next to the Smoky Mountains & deep the heart the country music just down the road from Nashville.
During his college years at East Tennessee State he played bluegrass & recorded record to sell at his gigs 1989.
Kenny made his way to Nashville TN which known worldwide as the home country music & just north Kenny s home town Knoxville. Kenny s efforts to land record deal paid 1992 when he signed with BMI & Opryland Music Group.
The 2009 tour includes show on September 12 Charleston South Carolina at the North Charleston Coliseum. This tour one the mega tours the country music summer season with tour dates all across the United States & Canada.
This year s Kenny Chesney tour has been dubbed the Sun City Carnival Tour support his most recent album Lucky Old Sun which was released the fall 2008. The album had already had number one single by the time debuted titled Everybody Wants to go to Heaven .
Kenny s success might not have been overnight but he s proved he s here to stay. His concerts are huge successes & his awards top ten hits & scores number one singles prove he s one country s modern superstars.
