Every day keen visitors from around the world pack the Beijing Zoo for look at this cute & precious animal regarded as Chinas national treasure.
The zoo opened 1908 one the last years the Qing dynasty. It was the first zoo its kind China. It now home to 6 000 animals & over 500 species. Among them are golden monkeys Siberian tigers precious birds & course giant pandas.

You will agree the only thing cuter than panda panda playing with another panda One bearhugs the other & the two roll around like big meat ball. You just cant stop laughing when seeing their clumsy Kungfu moves. However as you may know pandas were carnivores million years ago just like tigers & leopards. Zoologists still dont know the reason why they changed to this diet.

The Chinese regard the species national treasure because pandas appeared on earth nearly 2 million years ago & very few animal species from time survive to this day.
